MOH avoid giving any financial guarantees for the
foreign agents
The
Ministry of Hajj reconfirmed its assurances for all
the national companies and establishments operating
in the field of to avoid giving any financial
guarantees for the foreign agents for any purpose
whatsoever.
A Circular by the Ministry of Hajj stated that
confirmed information has come to the knowledge of
the Ministry of Hajj to the effect that some foreign
tourism entities, companies and agencies are asking
bank guarantees of variable amounts for guaranteeing
the good performance of the Saudi companies and
establishments upon their desire to make contracts
between them in order to organize the relationship
between them being their foreign agents in those
countries.
The Ministry also stated that such an act is not
permissible and that there is no provision in the
Umrah Services\' Regulation issued by virtue of the
Council of Ministers\' Resolution No. 93 for the
year 1420H nor in the Executive Bylaw thereof that
obliges the Saudi Umrah companies and establishments
to provide any bank guarantees for their foreign
agents.
The Ministry of Hajj also stated that all the Saudi
Umrah companies and establishments are guaranteed by
virtue of the Provisions of the Regulation by the
Ministry of Hajj vis-à-vis any foreign tourism
entities, companies and agencies. The Ministry added
that we stress on the non-eligibility of all the
Saudi Umrah companies and establishments for
providing any bank guarantees in any amount
whatsoever for any foreign tourism entities,
companies and agencies upon the execution of any
contract between them in order to organize their
relationships since the Saudi Umrah companies and
establishments are necessarily guaranteed by the
Ministry of Hajj vis-à-vis third parties and other
entities whatsoever. |
